Even though JD lost the election, he didn't lose his sense of serving the community. After losing the election, JD spent time recuperating (campaigns take it out of you) and reflecting. The following day, he celebrated his birthday and he got right back into the community working. He hopes this shows his fellow Hoosiers about his character and work ethic. He has not stopped since.

  • Testified before the Carmel City Council in support of passing a Human Rights Ordinance

  • Helped to staff the Boone County Dems table at the County Fair
  • Sponsored an IPS classroom by providing supplies for the class
  • Supported the Top Ladies of Distinction as a Silver Sponsor
  • Served as an Election Official for my precinct

  • Supported the IMPD Mounted Patrol Unit

  • After learning about a tragic fire that claimed the life of a boy in Wayne Township, JD donated 6 smoke detectors to Trustee Andy Harris for the installation of homes in Wayne Township

  • Conducted a Ride-A-Long with Indy EMS
  • Toured the Indianapolis Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • Volunteered for the US Conference of Mayors
  • Spoke at the Anti-Trump Rally that was held at the Columbia Club
  • Volunteered for State Representative Karlee Macer
  • Served as an Election Official for my precinct
